A first in France!
The Industrial Projects Department of SDV International Logistics was responsible for shipping and setting up a series of 4 new generation transformers for the leader in the French electricity market.
Shipped out of Seville (Spain), the transformers were transported to Le Havre.
Because of their height, the transformers had to be transported on their side. They were then placed upright in the nuclear power plant with 400 KV gantry cranes, before being lifted onto a skid track one at a time and moved into their final positions.
The industrial project teams showed their expertise throughout this operation, one that is a first in France for transformers weighing over 260 tons per unit.
